[14:00-14:20] Jason Livingston BioWare Jason has spent his career in identifying, developing, and delivering world-class customer experience.  He is passionate about business development, and believes that the customer relationship is the most critical piece to success in any consumer facing business. His career has afforded him positions in the US, Russia, India, London, Luxembourg, and Ireland.  In 2001 he joined AOL, Inc. where he spent 8 years in various positions focusing on the global execution and delivery of Customer Support to a customer base of over 36 million.  He has worked at an executive level for 3 Fortune 500 companies, served as an advisor to the board of directors, and managed global customer support models for customer audiences of over 100 million.In 2009, Jason found a new home and passion in the games industry.  Jason joined BioWare, a division of Electronic Arts, Inc. as the Director of Customer Services.  Jason’s role and responsibility was to design, develop, deliver “from scratch” a customer support solution for the upcoming MMORPG, Star Wars: The Old Republic, the largest and most ambitious MMO launch in gaming history.  To accomplish this, Jason established BioWare Ireland’s Global Support Centre of Excellence, built a team of well over 400 in that location, in addition to a 1000+ global workforce to support the successful launch of the game on December 2011. [14:40-15:00] Jonathon Young PopCap Games International Ltd. Jonathon is the Localization Director of PopCap Games and has over 16 years experience in the Games industry. His team adapts PopCap’s market leading games and make them more relevant for European fans. To date, he has worked on localising various iterations of PopCap’s hit franchises – Bejeweled, Plants vs. Zombies,  Zuma’s Revenge! and Peggle – into 11 languages across myriad platforms including Facebook, Mac/PC, Smartphone and consoles.  Prior to joining PopCap, Jonathon worked at Microsoft Game Studios on a diverse portfolio of games from Age of Empires to Flight Simulator and several AAA Xbox titles including Halo 2.Jonathon is also a founding member of Games Ireland, an advocacy group which seeks to drive sustainable growth in the Irish Games industry.

Open Emotion Studios Patrick Murphy is the CEO, Sound Designer and Co-Founder of Limerick based development company, Open Emotion Studios. Patrick founded Open Emotion Studios along with Mike Naughton and Colm English and is one of the key figures behind Open Emotion Studios creative and original intellectual property. This is Paddy’s second time presenting at Games Fleadh. In 2011 Paddy told us about “One crazy year” establishing Open Emotion Studios. During this presentation, in his usual entertaining and visionary style, Paddy will share his experiences of negotiating with publishers including do’s and do’s to avoid the dodo.

Colin has advised clients in the gaming industry on rights acquisition, financing and a range of other issues.Chris is an associate in the Technology Group at Arthur Cox and advises clients on a range of gaming, IP, and e-business issues. Previously, Alan was CEO of Nephin Games, a developer of community based mobile games for leading publishers such as Disney, Warner Brothers, and ESPN. [16:30-16:50] Philip Lawson Havok Philip is working for Havok who specialise in real-time simulation software for games and film, as part of the Dev Ops team with the role of QA software engineer.As part of the Dev Ops team, Philip contributes to both the development of the in-house continuous integration system., the Havok Content Tools (3DS Max, Maya and Softimage plugins), custom builds as well as QA for both the HCT and SDK against such platforms as PlayStation3(R), Xbox360, Wii, PC, 3DS, Vita, Android and iOS to name a few. Developing scripts in Python (Max script, MEL and VB), to automate tasks such as exporting artist content to Havok formats, sanity checks for C++ code and error reporting.
